On the way to visit our family in Florida, saw the sign and, on a whim, stopped by. Oh, my goodness, I am so glad we did! CT ordered the 3 fillet catfish dinner, I ordered the popcorn shrimp. She took a sweet potato, I got grilled green beans. It is all cooked fresh, and took about 6 minutes to come from the kitchen. We agreed, it is some of the best ever! If you get within 30 miles, you need to stop in. Excellent service and clean restrooms, and whimsical decor all, wit the wonderful food, made for a delightful respite from the road.

On my to Florida I did a review of David Catfish House and it gave great views. We decided to stop and I am glad I did. We had wonderful service, great waitress and reasonable prices. Catfish, fried shrimp, grits, baked potaoes and fried green tomatoes. I will be back.

Great food, reasonably priced. We had seven in our party, got there at 5:40, and we're seated immediately. Meals are plenty big you don't need to do all you can eat (unless you can handle that much shrimp...) Service was excellent.

Food is always phenomenal. Took my Grandmother, Great Aunt, and mother out to eat that evening, at the tail end of the Iron Bowl. Our waitress was kind, made great recommendations for my out of town Great Aunt, and was the perfect way to showcase the great crew at David's. Even when the restaurant started filling up, our waitress kept coming back to check on us. A great way to wrap up a long day.

I gave the restaurant for stars, but the server gets 5! This food was very tasty, but the gumbo and grits servings were a little on the small side. All in all very reasonably priced

A nice experience, I haven't visited here in a very long time. My fried shrimp were delicious as expected, the surprise was the sweet potato. I was amazed at the moist delicious potato that was served to me! The server was a little distracted,maybe, or just unconcerned with details. But a very nice time I will return.

Great fish and seafood. I had the catfish and my wife has the shrimp. Both were very good.

The food and the service was excellent. I can not find fault with a thing. We tried banyas there for the first time. Wow! Were they good! I give my meal and service 5 stars.

AWESOME PLACE, always great food, good speedy service. I never miss a chance to eat here while working in town. Today I had fried Gulf Shrimp and Oysters with fries and Cheese Grits.

David's Catfish House opened and quickly became a local favorite. The decor offers a wink & a nod to familiar local football teams, lore & landmarks without feeling cluttered. The food is consistently good. Come for the catfish, but don't leave without having their burger! That was honestly the biggest mind blower. Their burger IS the best burger in Andalusia!

David's in Andalusia is outstanding. I was part of a party of 4. Wife and had catfish fillets, cheese grits and coleslaw and the other couple had fried oysters. They said their oysters were good and I know our catfish were very good. The coleslaw is better than most. I highly recommend getting it as one of your side items. The waitresses were all very polite and friendly.

I love this restaurant.The food is very delicious, the customer service is friendly, smiling faces . Quick service, clean restaurant clean restrooms. The price for food is comfortable for food ordered. I had shrimp and french fries, hush puppies and Sweet tea . The servings are plentiful . Music that is relaxing and enjoyable. all around good restaurant experience. 5*

Delicious food! My husband had “all you could eat” catfish fillets and I had boiled shrimp. You get plenty of food for your money. Waitresses are very friendly and courteous. Will gladly recommend this place to everyone!

When you come to David's in Andalusia, they truly "Never" disappoint😋 The food is fast, hot, and service is A+👍 I know when I want some"Great" food just where to go 👍 Family environment!

There food is great and there tea is also very good. The place is nice and clean and has great service. The only things that I can say that are not so good is the tuna dip and the saltines they have at your table. The tuna dip needs to be more cold and should have more green onion. The saltines they have at your table are the captains wafers and wheat thins which (at least to me) not as good as the regular saltines they use for your tuna dip. All of that is just a minor thing, but overall it’s a great place to take your family and enjoy there famous catfish and seafood.Edit: I forgot to add it’s Fairly expensive. But that’s common for a seafood restaurant away from the oceanEdit 2:i forgot that i wrote this to the Andalusia location cause I was trying to write this to the new Dothan location

Food and service is good. They may take the "poor country" ambiance a bit far.

Catfish fillets were delicious and coleslaw was perfect. French fries were good as were the cheese grits. Lunch date had the same and a friend had the rib eye. Her steak was cooked exactly like she requested. She insisted that we try her steak and it was as delicious as she proclaimed!! The sweet tea was just right which is always a plus. All three of us absolutely loved our dining experience. We also enjoyed conversating with guests at neighboring tables.

05/19/2020 Visited last week and was very disappointed. Previous experiences had been wonderful but this time not. Cheese grits were not cheesy and my other side dish was not delivered. No napkins were provided although there were rolls of paper towels sitting on many tables. At my departure I asked to speak to management about my experience and the response was rude. Was told no one else had complained.

Awesome lunch find in Andalusia while en route to the beach! Great family restaurant with superb whole catfish! Both sweet and unsweetened tea pitchers and fresh ice placed on table .... and they prepared tea to go as well!! Hush puppies were perfectly cooked and excellent. Food was fried in fresh oil that let the sweet flavor of the catfish come through! Wait staff leave a "buzzer" on table in event you need to contact them for anything!!

Great for catfish. If I had seen those pork chops, I might have ordered them! Busy, but food served fast and hot nice servers. Parts look like old house setting with "fishing" theme
